LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – 2017 Senior Dr Kwaku Ohene-Frempong Kwaku Ohene-Frempong, the young vivacious boy from Kukurantumi entered Prempeh College in 1959 and left in 1966 as an educated, well rounded young man ready to take on the world. That he was named senior prefect in 1965 was testament to the character and integrity he had built on Sofoline campus! His discipline saw him excel in track and field, and he was named to the Ghana athletic team multiple times. He won a US government scholarship and proceeded to Yale University for his undergraduate studies. His quest for academic excellence saw him work his way through undergraduate studies, medical school, pediatric residency and fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology. After his fellowship, he accepted a faculty position at Tulane University and dove into academics.
